AT&T, How I Loathe Thee.
Man, ATT is pushing really hard.
I don't know if they are losing a ton of customers or what, but I can't do anything without ATT letting me know they have more voice coverage than anyone else on the planet.
6 Reasons Why I Made The Right Decision With AT&T
1. AT&T has you covered. AT&T covers 97% of all Americans. That’s more than 300 million people across 23,000 cities and towns.
That's actually impressive.
Good job AT&T. Although in the real world, unless I live in one of those remote locations, that number doesn't mean anything to the 97% of Americans who don't travel outside of a 50 mile radius form their home.
2. Fastest 3G Network
Once again, impressive, except that you may be able to provide the fastest 3G network, but unfortunately, you have overloaded that network so that you are one of the slowest providers when it comes to doing anything on-line. Also, man other providers are moving past 3G, so that's like saying you have the fastest Wireless B network.
3. Unlimited Mobile to Mobile Calling.
JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PROVIDER ON THE PLANET. Even the pre-paid services like Boost Mobile and MetroPCS offer free mobile to mobile. Or better yet, they offer flat rate UNLIMITED calling... across the nation.
4. Rollover®.
Hey, points here. Rollover minutes are great, especially in that they let you know how much more you pay for service than you should be. I currently have 3000+ rollover minutes. That means I should really re-evaluate my plan. Also, unlimited calling plans on other networks once again trump this, as well Fav 10 or "Call Your 20 Closest Friends All You Want" plans the other networks offer. Most people as far as I can tell, actually TALK to fewer than 10 people on a regular basis. So that makes those plans equivalent to UNLIMITED, which beats Rollover.
5. A-List With Rollover®
Oh cool, you added a feature so I can call the 10 closest people for free. Oh, and it only works on the 900 Minutes (Individual) or 1400 Minutes (Family) plans ? Awesome, you just negated the rollover feature on your own.
6. Forward-Thinking. In an effort to improve your wireless service, we’ve introduced a new AT&T Mark the Spot app. If you have a network service issue, you simply press a button to indicate the nature of the situation. The app automatically notes the location, time of day and type of device used. It’s sent to our network planning team to help enhance and expand our network.
What? YOu need ME to tell YOU where you don't have coverage? For fuck's sake, Verizon is telling EVERYONE where you don't have coverage.
